SE IL Mt.Erie, IL | Probally the best and cheapest solution would be to find a used PTO for the versatile. They are old enough now that there sholud be some out there in junkyards for parts. A new one for a case IH STX is in the 10-12000 range so I would think you should be able to buy one for your 835 for 4000 or less. The hyd drive system will prob be that much then you couldn't use it on anything else easily if that tractor went down. It will take some searching to do find one and some work but you will be much happier with the end result. One thin on your side is you have some time to get it found before harvest. | |
