A ground bearing trailer has a hyd foot in front of the trailer to unhook the neck, has to use it to unhook and has to be solid enough to raise trailer , once hooked up trailer height is set . Non ground bearing trailer has cylinders in neck to unhook no need for a solid foundation to unhook as with the ground bearing   and you can change ride height as needed   like  going over RR tracks or anything with a hump as in different road height's .
