Subject: well pump or bladder tank problem

For awhile now I have been noticing our well pump (jet type) has been running a lot, maybe continiously. I have filed the points on the pressure switch but that doesn't seem to help. Pressure is set , or was, to kick on at 40# & off at 50# but the pressure is only building up to around 46-47#. Pump is probably 8 yrs old at the most.

I have a bladder tank & I checked the air pressure in the bladder thinking that maybe it had lost air but it was the same as the pump pressure. As I remember the tank is suppose to be set 1-2 psi lower than the kickon pressure of the pump. When checking the air pressure I got water out of the air pressure valve. I don't recall ever getting water out of the valve before when checking air pressure. Has the bladder gotten a leak in it or is this common. Also, does the bladder air pressure increase as the water pressure increases against it ?

TIA,
boog
