Gifford, I thought just like you, but, my somewhat new smooth bore .22 bolt single shot.
It punched holes thru my landlords 1970's Morton
Should have used my Ruger pistol.
So, be careful shooting CCI .22 birdshot in a smooth bore bolt rifle.
