Subject: Re: 1603 Terragators

Ah, the infamous 3208 - the engine everyone loves to hate. In this application, the 3208 engine would be the last thing I would be worried about. This was a pretty successful application for this engine, and most guys who run the old TerraGators are generally fond of these engines and like how they performed. Remember, the 3208 engine was manufactured for over 25 years with several revisions and design improvements along the way as the engine output was increased - that has to say something about the success of this engine. I'd be much more concerned about the transmission, rear end, structural strength of the chassis, effects of corrosion, and condition of spreader system.
