Subject: RE: which no-till drill should I buy

Northeast Indiana (Auburn)
When I started to no-til beans and wheat the local fertilizer company rented out a 15' Great Plains. A couple of years later Deere came out with 15' 750 with dolly hitch. I could pull it with a 100hp tractor, I couldn't pull the GP 15'. You need the tractor weight to control the drill more than the hp to pull it. I still have my first 15' 750 drill I bought new in 1993. I reblade it every 2000 acres and reboot it every 6000 acres. It has 16,000 acres on it and still does a good job of getting the seed in the ground.
