South Georgia | After reading all the replies, and the extra information below, I'm wondering if perhaps you don't have a flowmeter at all, but just a system that's calculating the gpm based on tip size and spray pressure. If this is the case, and your tips are worn, then it'll certainly show right on the screen, but it'll be putting too much. Look and see if you do indeed have a flowmeter. If you don't, I'll bet you just need new tips.
