Subject: Bunching on right side of 1020

I'm sure this topic has been covered somewhere in cyberspace, but I'm not finding it right now...

On the right side of my 25' 1020 the beans get cut but the auger doesn't take them towards the middle and they just sit there until I stop, run the reel up and down or whatever to shake the bunch loose. I have the auger towards the rear (near the stripper plate) and I have tried several reel positions (fore/aft/up/down) with no improvement. I checked the auger flighting and it's a little smoother on the bunching side than the working side (edge not as sharp). Also, the bunching is on the reel drive side and beans tend to wrap around the reel on the drive side as well (but I think it's from the bunching).

I've heard this a characteristic of 1020 heads, but bean harvest will go really slow if this keeps up. Any ideas, links, new add on devices from ronco, ktel or whoever?

Thanks in advance,

Pat
