Go to the "run" line and type "services.msc" (no quotes).........and hit enter. Then go down the list untill you find "Computer browser service".............right click, and using the drop down list choose "disabled". then restart the computer. Do this on all of the systems except one of the XP pro systems. ............
The short verison of what happens is when the workgroup comes on line the members are supposed to take an election......or some thing like that..........and decide which is the most "senior" computer and that computer will maintain the list of workgroup members. With the W2K computers involved they cant agree on which computer maintains the list.............
