Subject: RE: Anyone cutting milo in Kansas yet....

We have about 220 acres done as of tonight, moisture today was 15.3-15.9, local elevator started taking it today, lot faster than hauling to our dryer. (plus I can sleep all night!) We have had a lot of rain, but after no-tilling for a lot of years our ground stays pretty firm. Yields have been from 128 to 142, all pioneer 85Y40, got into some 84G62 today, it was about a half a point wetter. Taking some dock but I figure it will never yield any more than it will today. Awful good crop this year, lets see, if I would have sold it all for $7 in July.... never mind!
