Subject: Looking at 9650 STS for next year

Nwmo
Thinking a little ahead here, planning on trading in my 9600 after this year and my next logical choice would be a 9650 sts. I have been looking at a 2001 with around 1300 separator hours.

I have never been in or around a Deere Rotary, what should I look for on a machine with this kind of hours. Will it be any better capacity wise than a 9600/10? Are they easier to set than a 9600? will they last as long? Can they be upgraded to perform like a 60 series? Are there bad years of production, I know some guys posted about having electronics problems on some of them.

I have been pretty happy with the 9600 this year, we are running a 930 and we're cutting some 50 + bushel beans at 3.5 to 4 mph today and I would be pretty sick to spend extra money to move down in capacity. How are field losses on the 9650 sts it seemed like some guys say they are real bad about loss?

Thanks for any info,
Devin F
