As far as I'm concerned there is only one kind to buy, Snap-On. As a mechanic that uses/abuses them most every day I have not found any that will take what the Snappys will. Better yet is when I do break one the Snap-On man will replace it <free>. I have had Craftsman and several other brands but none would take it like my snap-on set. I believe they are manufactured by another company and rebranded as Snap-On I have seen Cornwell and Armstrong pliers that look the same. If I remember they are around $200 for a set of 12.
