Southeast Florida
This money was ear marked for this in 1992. This was tied into the Everglades restoration projects. There 800 Billion dollars set aside for these projects. The reclamation of the Kissimmee River project was put on hold when water started backing up into the rat trap in Orlando. The glades restoration project is one of the largest dirt moving projects in history. Green Peace is running the show here. This project is where the swing came from in the 2000 elections. If you remember Palm Beach County is where it came down to deciding who was elected in that presidential election. I lived there too. None of the agricultural community voted Democrat then and that where GW got the votes he needed to win. This didn't just happen last night!
There's enough money in this slush fund to do the government bailout we're looking at right now and not put farmers off their land and do away with the thousands of jobs the sugar and vegetable industry supports from this land. If Green Peace get's its way the US will 100% dependent of foreign 3rd world fruit and vegetable production from Nov-April
I don't think anybody realizes how bad the mosquito problem will get in that highly populated coastlines that's in S FL either.
