Jim,

When I toured the eastern states of Oz back in 2000, skip-row was all the rage for summer crops (sorghum, cotton, etc). However, we did run across a farm near Goondiwindi (sp?) that had tested skips versus 'solid' every year for ~ 4 yrs or so, and the 'solid' beat the skip-row every year. They figured by that point the 'solid' was far enough ahead in cumulative yield that skip-row would never catch it. (They were no-till.)
