East Central MO-Audrain/Pike Counties | I started custom spraying 7 yrs. ago. As a begining farmer it has helped support the farming habit. In MO you need commercial license and insurance. Insurance was tough to get after 9-11 incident. The first year it cost $4000--due to being first time applicator. Since it has dropped to around $1000. In MO as long as you (custom app.) apply the chemicals you can bill the customer without a dealer license. I deal with a local wholesaler and pass price I get along to farmers. I have never had any problems w/ chemical companies if I had a respray. It gets a little stressful for a few weeks but is also interesting to see new country.
