I had the opportunity last fall to run a 2005 (I think) 12 row, folding, Geringhoff head on an 8010:

To say the least, I was very impressed with the head. I am not a corn head expert but was impressed with how the head handled down corn. It also appeared to have very little header loss (compared to some other Green and Red heads I've seen) and do a nice job of stalk handling. As far as I know, the only maintenance issues that the owner had had with this head was failure of the spring-loaded Lovejoy couplers that drive the outside 2(?) rows.

Plus, if it says anything about the Geringhoff line, I see these folks switched to Northstars this year:
