Boone, Iowa
I think alot of guys that went from a 1000 series head to the 2200 series head regret making that trade. I think it is a 3400 series that went back to the water pump bearing for support at the front of the stalk roll. The knives will line up across from each other again. I am hoping they made this head with more precision so it is easier to replace the knives, compared to the 1000 series. Case IH also came out with a chopping head, which I heard it was a 2600 series.
I bought a 2004 Drago head with chopper to replace our 1083 head. I cannot believe how overbuilt this head is, compared to the 1000 series parts. I am looking forward to running this head in a few weeks.
