I do have an old critter that used to run off of a line drive shaft, but the quill bearing must be worn as it can move sideways a quarter inch. It is about impossible to change speeds. I did a google search on turret knee mills, a used one for $2800 on ebay, was over my budget. Maybe I need to do a budget study.
