Thanks for the sensor clarifications. I've been wondering how any of the mechanical type tactile sensors (i.e.- Deere. HeadSight, CLAAS) behave compared to a non-mechanical tactile sensor like the Reichhardt.

The system uses a combination of data from the sensors and gps position to guide it. So given a plug, I assume one would lift the head slightly and reverse, taking the sensors off of the cut stalks. With the sensors off the row the gps half of the equation will keep the combine on the row.

Since RowSense is using GPS and the tactile sensors, does some sort of guidance line from the planting tractor needs to be available for the combine to base it's steering off of?
