Looks to me like they're mounted in much the same fashion as the header height sensor's. We've had plenty of opertunites to break them off and haven't yet, the snoot just tips up and tends to get your attention quick.

Only problem I can see is if they're not quite sturdy enough compared to the height sensor--loran
