Subject: Re: Converting a Slurrystore to grain storage

West Central Wisconsin
A farmer near here roofed and floored a Slurry Store a few years ago that I would say was 60 foot in diameter and maybe 20 foot high. He had the Amish build the roof which was kinda-sorta squared off round in shape with a raised coupola in the center for filling. I heard it took quite a bit of labor to screw in all those self tapping screws into the steel wall for the floor flashing. Nobody really knows how much he spent to get what he has, ( retired politician), but some estimated it may have been close to the cost of a used bin for the capacity he now has. The soft roof mentioned above sounds like it is worth looking into.IMO
