The CORS network is a great resource for a GPS-correction signal. Cell phone communication allows you to receive the signal where ever you have cell phone coverage. However, to receive a useful correction signal you need to be within or no more than 10+ miles outside the network to use the VRS signal. Our software can stretch this limit up to 20-25 miles. For single base correction I would stay within 20 miles from the base.
MojoRTK, TopCon, and Trimble are the only brands that support the correction signal formats from the CORS to my knowledge. I'm working with some Deere dealerships to see if we can open up the Greenstar receiver. | |
