Your guy is confused, IDOT CORS updates are RTK correction updates not autosteer updates, Your on-board RTK receiver should have a display that shows correction age, that is time since it last received RTK correction from IDOT CORS. Typical numbers for correction age run from 1 to 4 seconds, that translates to RTK correction sample rates of 1 Hz to 0.25 hertz, plenty fast enough for any Ag use.
