| Ron, I was reading the latest edition oif Pioneer's "Growing Point" magazine and it had an article where they are working on a blend of rootworm resistant corn & non rwr corn along with a BT corn in the same bag. No refuge would be required for the rwr corn but there still would be a requirement for a refuge for the BT corn. The BT refuge could be up to 1/2 mile away (depending upon area restrictions). According to the article it hasn't been approved yet
Local P dealer was involved in growing some research plots of this "blended" corn this year and said the plots would have to be mechanically destroyed and not harvested. | |
