i have the refuge option on mine. You just pick whatever rows you want to plant refuge seed and hook up the hoses accordingly. Real simple. I run the middle 4 rows as refuge. Then i suppose you would need smart boxes on just the rows that plant refuge. I dont use them, so i dont know on that part.
