I climb in the tank with a 5 gallon bucket if needed and you can reach the other tank from there. I also mounted a scale under the tank's for filling evenly. I believe that maybe an option available now.I havn't tried draining the bottom and shutting it. There maybe one drain spot that would work but don't think so on the longer drain holes though.
