I have a F-250 with a 300 and a manual trans and in its day would get around 18 on the road. It is a 1978 so has a carb and not fuel injected. I would say you could do better on mileage but the 300 is a good motor. They go and go. I would like to have a new one like the truck I am talking about. They dont make them like that anymore. That joker will haul some weight too. I have had over 2 tons on it and go on down the road with it.
