We have worked on IH augers a couple of times. We just hang the auger from the shed rafters using lifting straps. We have a couple of sets of the 30 inch wide scaffolding, that you can buy at places such as Menards or Farm and Fleet. Portable scaffolding costs about $150 a set and is handy for many projects around the farm. The scaffolding works great, but as suggested, a rental lift would be handy, as well.
