Honestly, I wouldn't attempt to pull the tube and flighting together. Take the boot off the end, remove the bolts out of the end bearing support, and pull the flighting out. Then go about removing the tube itself. Do the re-install in reverse, tube on first, then slide the flight in. While you have it apart, you just as well check out the top gear box. You can take the bolts out and lift it out of the vertical auger. Check the spline and gudgeon wear in the top of the vertical auger, plus see how much slop is in the gearbox itself.

As has been mentioned, make sure you time the augers correctly when putting it all back together. Nasty things happen if they lock into each other.
