NC KS | The E4OD is a good transmission with Ford using it up till the 5 spd torq shift came out around 04 or 05. The earlier ones like the 93 had a bunch of updates that got done when rebuilding the tranny. The updates gave it a much better life span. The 95 that I used to have was rebuilt just prior to me buying it at 90000 miles and was still running at 160000. I wouldn't consider the C6 nonoverdrive tranny as it doesn't have overdrive and doesn't lock up. Just put an extra cooler on it and run. You can get a bulletproof rebuild if you spend what the truck is worth on the rebuilt tranny. | |
