Subject: Ford Automatic Transmissions........90's Era...........Faults and Strengths?

Kansas
IN particular, an Automatic that would of been in a 93 model with a gas engine and a dooly.

I am going to assume ( I know, that has got me in trouble here before) it has a 460 in it.

Seems like I remember someone telling me about an auto in a same era ford that had lost overdrive. He replaced a 30 amp fuse and it was working again and got the pickup bought cheap for that reason.

Can someone please explain me these trannys a bit? Good and stout and long lifed if not towing much or still the same ole unreliable autos like used to in the 80's when they didn't have much care and were pulled hard?

Thanks. Scheming on a pickup I've seen for sale. Just not thrilled that auto.
