We are fortunate to have a group at the local FSA office that has to be above the norm.......I have yet to talk with a farmer who was not pleased with them.  (That is in direct contrast to the NRCS just across the hall.)

Those girls literally babysit guys like me...........forget the due dates, don't read enough about the available programs, etc etc.   They call and say........hey........you need to..........

I'd rather monkey with the IRS than the USDA.

Too much foolishness and lack of defined objectives to achieve.......and worse yet a lack of forethought as to the procedures that can be used to achieve the stated objectives.

I bought a farm years ago with 18 different CRP contracts on it........some less than a half acre in size..........stupid.  The girls' comment to my question of wasn't there a minimum size for a contract-------------it's the law, we had to allow him to put those on.
