Macon, IL | Sounds like most of the programs around here. However the watershed program put in here 2 1/2 years ago is the first one I thought was really good to reward you for what you were already doing.
Some of the past programs only paid to no-till if you weren't already doing it. Watershed program recognized what is good and gave points for no-till or reduced till, points for buffer strips and wildlife area-even if it already existed. All points added together determine what "tier" you fit and what payments are. | |
