East Central Kansas | In most cases, I can't blame the co. level people. they are telling you the information they have been given. It is not uncommon for me to have new interpretations of the "guidance" before they do. Our co. level people are most helpful and do not deserve the abuse they sometimes get. They are merely delivering the message as developed by higher levels(state, USDA, and congress). Maybe we are in the minority, but our county level people are very helpful. In addition, the time I spend with them has been very well compensated in the past(CEO level compensation, $1000+/hr). I wish I received as much for 1/4 of the hours I spend on the farm.
