Subject: Rails

Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot
There isn't a dozer of any sort around this area that doesn't have rails that are ruined by pulling ditches. Lot of old TD-9's around and there isn't a one of them that has a decent undercarriage. Dad had an old TD-14 that was wide enough to straddle the banks, but the usual head problems go it.

Cat rubber tracked machines don't work very well either. Guy I worked for bought an 85e and tried to pull some big, wide ditches. Bought the third pass through cost him a new set of tracks, idlers, and a lot of time getting it yanked out of the ditch and onto level ground without a belt on one side.
