You might as well use that book for emergency bathroom use. You try to whip that lil book out and show up a guy with a badge and a chip on his shoulder that he is wrong and I'll bet you learn just how long they can actually keep you sitting on the side of the road with an inspection and who knows what all else they will find wrong and then cause you unneccesarry (sp) court time.
Jakey went about it right. Take the ticket, make the phone calls, try to settle it reasonably.
You might get lucky and find one that is level headed and after reading the book see the error of his ways but for the most part, alot of those scale boys get plum insulted when a truck driver tries to insult thier intelligence with whipping out that book and I've seen alot of guys get a real schooling on the side of the road afterwards.
