I built our shop in 2003. 50x60x20, metal frame, commercial quality building, rated for more snow load than needed for our area. With concrete floor, steel liner 1/2 way up 2/3 the way around inside, good insulation, 1-24x16 and 1-10x10 OH doors plus a walk-in door, all hired, $67K. Then I hired a carpenter to build an office, a washroom, and a break room after that.

Thought long and hard before I pulled the trigger, wasn't sure it could pay for itself. Still not sure if is the best investment in the world--but I am sure glad I did it and wish I would have built it sooner.
