Newfane NY | Since when does a tenant have the final say? I would think the owner has the final say. If you let the tenant get away with this, next thing you know he will clam squatter rights and clam the land as his.
Had this happen when a house was sold next to a farm we own. There was a 20' buffer between the field and line. New owner clamed that land was his as the old owner mowed it for years. I said a few nice things then told him to look out the window as my plow was headed over to plow to the line. All of a sudden I was the bad guy and he changed his tune fast. I did not plow it but I do mow it once a year.
