If it's yourself as the owner that's also operating it most of the time, you will not want to be without hydraulic shuttle for any loader application. It is designed to shuttle without using the clutch and that's the way it should be used. Using the clutch means possible jerks and shocks to the drivetrain and grinding of gears if not done perfectly each time.

Increased trade-in value with hydraulic shuttle. Around here a used non-power shuttle tractor would be have to be heavily discounted from a used equivalent shuttle version, by an amount that exceeds the cost of the upgrade if it was ordered when new. You're actually making money off the tractor that way, and enjoy the convenience "free".

Too many farmers in their 50's , 60's hobbeling around with bad knee/knees, caused by years of pressing a clutch down constantly. The waiting list for knee replacement surgery is long enough in Canada that taking whatever steps to avoid it is much more attractive (and painless). If you have employees, this can be a health insurance or "workplace injury liability" issue if you didn't take all reasonable steps to avoid it.

Any device that eases the burden of long periods of repeatative tasks keeps you less fatigued and that = less chance of accident.
