| This year, I think I am going to try PLANTING across the grain at maybe a 30 degree angle or so (notill) so that when I come back to spray, I can spray "straight" with the old corn rows for a smoother ride. Also, I figure I'll get the benefits of being able to combine straight with the old corn rows, but I'll actually be taking the beans at an angle for better pickup and feeding. Lastly, I figure I'll get a better, more even stand because the 15" rows wont be trying to plant through last years corn root balls for the length of the field
Long story short, it will take longer to plant, but I think I'll reap the rewards several times over the season.
Anyone try it this way? | |
