Big thick treated wood will be stronger than tiny, thin metal.

Use screws no matter what your fastening your tin to.

We gave the go ahead for our new shop to the steel fella, had a funny feeling about him, and within five minutes after calling him and saying "you got it, when will you be building", he made a remark that made us do a 180 to the bid for the wood structure.

We have wood buildings here on the yard that are 30-40 years old.........Freeze, thaw, rain, snow, hot humid summers, we are completely satisfied with them.

Do what your comfortable with, but check the wind, and snow load ratings between the two.  Putting a little extra beef into a building you'll have for many years is worth the $.

Today, bang for buck is with wood.  Whatever ya do, get your tin priced and paid for, Steel went up 12% in 14 days ago here, heard its NOT going down.

good luck

if "big thick treated wood" was better truck frames and bridges would be built with it .

another thing to think about on a wood shop termites.
