My steel building, 1st in line, withstood 75/100mph straight winds in Kirkwood Il. this last summer. Across the street, down wind, "Morton Type" Twp. shed was half gone along with several grain bins. Another plus with Steel Blds are a 1/12 roof pitch, which eliminates the need for a dropped, insulated ceiling. At the time, yr. 2000, steel bld. was less expensive.
