| Is it a knock or a tick? Knocks are a loud and heavy sound while ticks are just that, a ticking sound. SOme of the early engines had an issue with the roller rockers loosing neddle bearings. Pull the drain plug and see if the magnet has any needle bearings stuck to it. If not, may be a sticking lifter. Dump in a can of Seafoam and run it for a while. Probably free up a stuck lifter in a few minutes.
