Is it all the time or just when cold? I have an '04 with 27K on it and it's knocked on cold startup since 10K. Unless it's a permanant knock, I'd say it's the nature of the beast. Had a friend who had one of the first 6.0's and he complained about it from day one. GM gave him a 100,000 mile warrantee and he never had an issue.
