I run an 03 with the 6.0 and a the lower rear gears, auto tranny. Bought it last year with 20k on the clock and have put another 20k on since then. Good solid truck. The gas mileage is nothing to brag about empty I might get 12-13. Try not to think about it when I pull a load.
If I'm just running around I'll take the F150 or the Ranger.
