Pittsburg, Kansas

That shaft turns a lot slower than ours. Ours is a Simonsen and the pto has dual pulleys so we can switch from 540 to 1000 by simply switching the belt but the lower shaft direct drives the spinner gear box so the 540 is actually a speed up pulley set and the 1000 is a speed reduction. They balanced the pulley sizes so we can use the same belt and just switch it between sheave sets. Of course we could not leave well enough alone so we changed the pulleys on the 1000 set so we run the pto at 800 or about 1800 engine rpm. Saves lots of fuel.

Built our own stainless steel extensions/roll tarp setup. Put window in front panel so we can see when empty. Hydraulic on/off but that was factory. Planning on putting Raven control valve and make it VRT when we get to it.

I'd take a picture and post but not home yet. Will be late tomorrow.

Hydraulic spinner modification next.

John
