| Tried a small test plot last year after wheat. Disked, ran ring roller , then blew teff on with air spreader and ran back over it with the ring roller. We sprinkled it up and got a good stand. Only problem was price, it is so new it sells for dry cow hay price in Calif. Unless this changes, we will plant alfalfa. FYI the uncoated seed was much cheaper, looked better and produced more than the coated blue stuff. I have seen another field after wheat that was air applied. It looked ok. One potential problem is that herbicides are not listed for teff, you have to call it a small grain. | |
