Here are two articles from the Hay and forage Grower magazine.

What little I know.....If I remember correctly:

first cutting of Teff occurs about 50 days after planting. Second cutting will occur about 21-30 days after that.

Seeding rate is about 5 lb/ac, and cost is about $5.00 (last year's prices).

Yes, frost will kill it.
