Well here's my experience, we have used dry fertilizer I think forever! We totally no til we used to put all of our fertilizer on in the row but the last 20 yrs. we only put 100 lbs. of 18-46-60 done with the planter the rest is broadcasted.we use a yetter single disc coulter unit at 2in. by 2 in. row cleaners and unit coulters, our ground doesnt warm very fast so we feel this setup gets the corn up and going a little faster, this works for us it may not work for ereryone.
