Ham, yes, we do apply a blend while seeding with the single shoot. If in wheat or barley, we apply 100lbs of 8-34-20 with the seed. Most people apply their NH3 in the fall & can go straight in come spring. Last year we applied some urea in the spring right before seeding (with the drill). Last fall we decided to apply all the Urea with the air drill, so we could seed right away in the spring, save some time & it's usually cheaper to do in the fall. In what ways do you figure you get some fertilizer damage? I don't think we really do get damage, due to the low amount of N in the blend, but I may be wrong!
